NEHC Women - Week 7
MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) announced its weekly awards for games played through Sunday, December 12th. New England College's Emily Lenzen (Littleton, Colo.) was selected as Player of the Week, while Castleton University's Izabella Segui (Newington, Conn.) took home Goaltender of the Week honors. Norwich University's Olivia Boyer (Saint Paul, Minn.) was tabbed Rookie of the Week.
Player of the Week
Emily Lenzen - New England College
(Junior, Forward - Littleton, Colo.)
Lenzen tallied two goals and two assists in two games for the 'Grims in their Friday-Saturday double-header against the Cougars of Chatham, posting a +3 plus-minus for the week.
Goaltender of the Week
Izabella Segui - Castleton University
(Sophomore, Goaltender - Newington, Conn.)
Segui played all of both weekend contests during the Castleton Invitational, racking up 51 saves. Segui posted her second career shutout against Rivier on Friday, followed by a 41-save outing in Saturday's championship game against seventh-ranked Colby.
Rookie of the Week
Olivia Boyer - Norwich University
(Freshman, Forward - Saint Paul, Minn.)
Boyer was one of the driving forces behind Norwich's 6-0 win over Elmira, scoring two goals and finishing with +5 plus/minus for the week.
Honor Roll
Olivia Lindberg - New England College
(Freshman, Forward - Enkoping, Sweden)
Lindberg tallied three assists in two games for the 'Grims, helping NEC to a 1-1 week.
