Women's Weekly Release



MARSHFIELD, Mass. The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) women's weekly awards were announced for play through Sunday, November 18. Norwich University's Adrieana Rossini (Malden, Mass.) earned Player of the Week accolades. Alyssa DePippo (Pittsburgh, Pa.) of UMass Boston and Payton Dockus (St. Clair Shores, Mich.) of Suffolk University were named Goaltender and Rookie of the Week respectively.

Player of the Week
Adrieana Rossini Norwich University
(Senior, Forward Malden, Mass.)

player Rossini led Norwich to a weekend sweep with a five-point performance to pace the Cadets' offense. She dished out three helpers in Friday's 8-1 win over New England College. On Saturday, she scored a goal and had an assist as Norwich pulled away from Castleton late to hand the Spartans their first league loss of the season. Rossini led the team with an impressive +7 plus-minus rating on the weekend.

Goaltender of the Week
Alyssa DePippo UMass Boston
(Senior, Goaltender Pittsburgh, Pa.)

player DePippo stopped 45 of 48 shots to lead UMass Boston to their first three-point weekend of the season. After recording 15 saves on 16 shots on Friday night at Salem State University, she added a season-high 30 saves on 32 shots in a 2-2 tie against Suffolk University. DePippo made six of her 30 saves in the overtime session.

Rookie of the Week
Payton Dockus Suffolk University
(Freshman, Forward St. Clair Shores, Mich.)

player Dockus notched six points on three goals and three assists for the Rams this week. She recorded two goals and two assists in a 9-0 victory over Anna Maria in nonconference action. She followed that with an assist in Suffolk's win over Johnson and Wales and also potted the game-tying goal against UMass Boston on Saturday.



Honor Roll

Tess Adams Suffolk University
(Senior, Forward Calgary, Alta.)

Adams recorded two goals and six assists for eight points in a 2-0-1 week for Suffolk. Six of her eight points on the week came in Wednesday's 9-0 victory over Anna Maria. The senior also added a goal and assist in Friday's 4-1 win over Johnson & Wales.

Katie Nolan University of Southern Maine
(Junior, Forward Dorchester, Mass.)

In USM's only game this week, Nolan had two goals and one assist in the Huskies' 4-1 win over Salem State. Nolan earned an assist on the game's first goal with a brilliant stick-handling effort to set-up rookie Emma Mazzariello's first career goal. Nolan scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the second period, and added an empty-net goal late in the game.
