Women's Weekly Release



MARSHFIELD, Mass. The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) women's weekly awards were announced for play through Sunday, November 11. Castleton University's Jocelyn Forrest (Prince George, B.C.) earned Player of the Week honors for her play over the weekend. Isabelle Woodward (Ottawa, Ont.) of Salem State University and Shana Cote (Broomfield, Conn.) of Suffolk University were tabbed Goaltender and Rookie of the Week respectively.

Player of the Week
Jocelyn Forrest - Castleton University
(Senior, Forward Prince George, B.C.)

player Forrest netted another three goals over the weekend to increase her season total to seven through Castleton's first five games of the year. With the Spartans trailing 2-0 on Friday against Plymouth, the senior forward scored the Spartans initial goal to get the team on the board before adding the equalizer in the third period. During Saturday's win over Southern Maine, Forrest put the Spartans ahead 1-0 in the second and Castleton did not look back as it raced to a 3-1 win.

Goaltender of the Week
Isabelle Woodward Salem State University
(Sophomore, Goaltender Ottawa, Ont.)

player In her only action of the week Woodward made 33 saves as the Vikings notched their first win of the season with a 3-1 triumph over Johnson & Wales. Woodward kept Salem State in the contest, turning aside 23 of 24 shots in the first two periods as Salem State rallied with three unanswered third period goals en route to the victory.

Rookie of the Week
Shana Cote Suffolk University
(Freshman, Forward Broomfield, Conn.)

player Cote played a role in all four of Suffolk's goals as they defeated Becker College 4-3 in nonconference action. The freshman forward tallied two power play goals, including the game-winner, while also assisting on the Rams' other two goals of the contest. Her four-point effort against Becker is the most recorded points by a Ram in a single game in program history.



Honor Roll

Jacqueline Sindoris Salem State University
(Senior, Forward Charlestown, Mass.)

Sindoris scored three goals in a 2-0-0 weekend for the Vikings. The senior forward scored the eventual game winner on the power play in Friday's 3-1 victory over Johnson & Wales. She followed that with two goals (including an empty netter) in Saturday's 6-4 defeat of Suffolk.

Tess Adams Suffolk University
(Senior, Forward Calgary, Alta.)

Adams tallied four goals in a 1-1-0 weekend for the Rams. The senior netted two goals in Friday's nonconference victory over Becker and matched that performance with another two tallies in a 6-4 losing effort to NEHC foe Salem State.

Emily Lambert - Norwich University
(Sophomore, Goaltender Riverview, Mich.)

Lambert made a career-high 40 saves on 42 shots in Wednesday's game at No. 2-ranked Plattsburgh State. Her previous career high was 16 saves during her freshman season.
