Women's Weekly Release



MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) women's weekly awards were announced for play through Sunday, January 29. Kim Tiberi (Raleigh, N.C.) of Norwich University and Saint Anselm College's Kaitlyn Spillance (Franklin, Mass.) earned Player of the Week accolades. Tiberi's teammate, Laurie King (Waddington, N.Y.) was selected as Goaltender of the Week while Saint Michael College's Arianna Boscia (Cranston, R.I.) was recognized as Rookie of the Week.

Co-Players of the Week
Kim Tiberi – Norwich University
(Junior, Defense – Raleigh, N.C.)

player Tiberi scored two goals and notched three assists for a five-point weekend as a defenseman and helped lead Norwich to two league victories. She scored a goal and tallied two assists in a 4-1 win over Southern Maine on Friday. She also assisted on the Cadets' first goal of the game and added another goal in the third in a 6-1 win over UNE on Saturday. She led the team with 13 shots on the weekend and finished as a +4 plus/minus rating.

Kaitlyn Spillane – Saint Anselm College
(Junior, Forward– Franklin, Mass.)

player Spillane tallied three goals and two assists in two Saint Anselm victories last week. The junior had a goal and two assists in a 5-1 win at Saint Michael's on Friday night and scored twice, including the eventual game-winner, in a 3-1 victory over No. 9 Connecticut College on Saturday.

Goaltender of the Week
Laurie King - Norwich University
(Junior, Goaltender – Waddington, N.Y.)

player King made 34 of 35 saves to pick up two victories on the weekend in net for the Cadets. She made 14 of 15 stops in a 4-1 win over Southern Maine. She then stopped all 20 shots she faced in 40 minutes of action in a win over University of New England. She is 12-0-1 with a 0.88 goals against average and a .953 save percentage.

Rookie of the Week
Arianna Boscia – Saint Michael's College
(Freshman, Defense – Cranston, R.I.)

player Boscia posted four assists and a +3 plus/minus rating during a 1-1 weekend. In a 5-1 loss to Saint Anselm on Friday, her +/- was zero before she tied a program record with four assists in an 8-2 win over Nichols on Saturday. She assisted go-ahead tallies in the first and second periods before recording helpers on the Purple Knights' fourth and fifth goals.



Honor Roll

Jocelyn Forrest – Castleton University
(Sophomore, Forward – Prince George, B.C.)

Forrest was involved in three of Castleton's four goals over the weekend, compiling two goals and one assist. After recording her team-leading fifth helper of the season in a 3-2 loss at the University of New England on Friday, Forrest tallied two third-period goals to lead the Spartans back to a 2-2 draw at Southern Maine on Saturday.

Tori Hubbard – Saint Michael's College
(Senior, Forward– Saint Albans, Vt.)

Hubbard recorded three points, recorded a +3 plus/minus rating and won 6.0 faceoffs per game during a 1-1 weekend. During a 5-1 loss to Saint Anselm on Friday, she went 4-for-9 on draws before collecting three points and eight faceoff wins in an 8-2 win over Nichols on Saturday. All of her points came in the third period, as she netted the eventual game-winner at 2:24 before assisting two insurance markers.
