Women's Weekly Release



MARSHFIELD, Mass. The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) women's weekly awards were announced for play through Sunday, January 3. The duo of Erin Hall (Pembroke, Mass.) and Tessie Salatas (Laval, Que.) from the College of the Holy Cross were named Co-Player and Goaltender of the Week respectively. Joining them are Allison Butler (Danvers, Mass.) and Sara McNamara (Danbury, Conn.) from Saint Anselm College who were named Co-Player and Rookie of the Week for their performances.

Co-Players of the Week
Erin Hall College of the Holy Cross
(Junior, Defense Pembroke, Mass.)

player Hall notched three points (two goals and an assist), including the game-winning goal in a 4-3 win over Manhattanville College. She also played a pivotal role in the Crusaders' defensive efforts in holding nationally-ranked Castleton University to just one goal in a 4-1 win at the Rutland Herald Invitational. The sophomore was also named to the all-tournament team.

Alison Butler Saint Anselm College
(Junior, Forward Danvers, Mass.)

player Butler helped lead the Hawks to a 2-0 mark in this past weekend's games. Butler scored a goal and added an assist in a 4-3 overtime win over Trinity College on Saturday. She followed that up with the game-winning goal in a 3-2 win at Sacred Heart University on Sunday. For the week, Butler was a +3 on the ice.

Goaltender of the Week
Tessie Salatas College of the Holy Cross
(Sophomore, Goaltender Laval, Que.)

player Salatas stopped 55 of 59 shots she faced in a pair of wins over Manhattanville and Castleton at the Rutland Herald Invitational. In Sunday's Championship game against Castleton the sophomore turned away 26 shots (including 13 in the third period) and was also named Most Valuable Player of the tournament for her efforts.

Rookie of the Week
Sara McNamara Saint Anselm College
(Freshman, Forward Danbury, Conn.)

player McNamara helped lead the Hawks to a 2-0 mark in games played this weekend. She scored a goal and added an assist in a 4-3 overtime win at Trinity and took five shots in a 3-2 win over Sacred Heart on Sunday. For the week she was even on the ice in the two games.



Honor Roll

Anna Daniels - Castleton University
(Senior, Forward Falun, Sweden.)
Daniels continued to be one of the most solid players on the ice for the Spartans over the weekend, recording an assist in each contest. The senior helped out on the Spartans' third goal in a 3-3, overtime draw against Colby College on Saturday before assisting on Castleton's only goal in Sunday's game. Daniels was also phenomenal at the face-off dot, winning 17 out of her 22 attempts (77%).

Jess Cameron - Castleton University
(Senior, Goaltender Mt. Mellick, P.E.I.)
Cameron put up another stellar weekend for Castleton, helping lead her team to the championship round of the Rutland Herald Invitational. The senior stopped 99 shots in two games, good for a .934 save percentage. In Saturday's game against Colby, Cameron made 43 saves in a 3-3, overtime draw before stopping all three shooters in a shootout to help propel her team to Sunday's championship game against Holy Cross. In that game, Cameron stopped 56 shots, which marks the third time this season she has made more than 50 saves in a game. Cameron was named as the goaltender for the All-Tournament team following her performance over the weekend.
