MARSHFIELD, Mass. Taylor Steadman (Hartford, Vt.) of Castleton University was named to the Team of the Week for her play from December 7 through December 13. Steadman was named New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Player of the Week on Monday for her performance over the same period.

Steadman was a force for the Spartans all weekend, scoring a trio of big goals in Castleton's two victories. In Saturday's game against #4 Middlebury, Steadman scored the first goal for the Spartans with time winding down in the second period, sparking a streak of three unanswered goals for Castleton en route to a 3-2, overtime victory. On Sunday, the senior came back with a two-goal performance in a 2-1, overtime victory over Connecticut College. Steadman scored just 4:35 into the game, and then found the back of the net in overtime to seal the victory for her team after forcing a turnover in the Spartans' offensive zone.

The Team of the Week recognizes the top performances across the nation in Division III women's hockey. Institutional and conference sports information directors submit nominations for recognition. A selection committee then reviews the nominations and selects an elite group of three forwards, two defenders and one goaltender for recognition.
