MARSHFIELD, Mass. – Kristina Bove (Medford, Mass.) of University of Massachusetts Boston was named to the D3Hockey.com Team of the Week for her play from November 16 through November 22. The senior forward was named to the second team after being named the NEHC Player of the Week on Monday.
Bove had the biggest weekend of her college career as she helped UMass Boston to their first 4-point weekend of 2015-16. The Medford native recorded a team-leading 3 assists, including her first-ever two-point showing in a 4-2 upset win over St. Anselm on Friday. The two assists also marked the first two points of her college career. She also assisted on the Beacons first goal in Saturday's 3-1 win over Southern Maine.
The D3Hockey.com Team of the Week is a new initiative from d3hockey.com that recognizes the top performances across the nation in Division III women's hockey. Institutional and conference sports information directors submit nominations for recognition. A selection committee then reviews the nominations and selects an elite group of six forwards, four defenders and two goaltenders split into first and second team honors.
