BOSTON, Mass. - Seven New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) student athletes were recognized by the New England Hockey Writers as they honored the 2019-20 Division III All Stars.
Norwich University led the way with three honorees, followed by New England College with two representatives while Babson College and University of Massachusetts Boston each notched one on the All-New England team.
Additionally, Norwich's Tom Aubrun (Chamonix, France) and head coach Cam Ellsworth were respectively named the Division III New England Most Valuable Player and Coach of the Year. This recognition comes on the heels of both individuals being honored with the National Player and Coach of the Year awards respectively.
Joining Aubrun as honorees are Cadet teammates Gabriel Chicoine (St. Dominique, Que.) and Felix Brassard (St. Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que.), both of whom were tabbed First Team All-NEHC selections while Chicoine earned First Team All-American honors and Brassard was named to the Third Team.
New England College saw their First Team All-NEHC forwards in Carlos Fornaris (Miami, Fla.) and Nikita Pintusov (Mogliev, Belarus) earn a sport on the All-New England team as well. Pintusov also garnered national recognition as a Third Team All-American selection a few weeks ago.
Babson's goaltender in Brad Arvanitis (Holliston, Mass.) continues to add hardware to the shelf in his first year in the green and white. Arvanitis was a Second Team All-NEHC selection and earned Third Team All-American honors as his goals against average and save percentage trailed only Aubrun nationally this season.
Finally, UMass Boston's Nick Albano (Beverly, Mass.) earned an All-New England nod after being named a First Team All-NEHC defenseman while also being recognized as a Second Team All-American.
