Men's Weekly Release



MARSHFIELD, Mass. - The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) announced its weekly awards for games played through Sunday, November 3. Norwich University teammates Felix Brassard (St Jean sur-Richelieu, Que.) and Tom Aubrun (Chamonix, France) earned Player and Goaltender of the Week honors respectively. Suffolk University's Nathan Pickett (Auburn, Mass.) was recognized as Rookie of the Week

Player of the Week
Felix Brassard - Norwich University
(Junior, Forward - St Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que.)

player Brassard scored twice to lead Norwich to a 4-0 victory over No. 9-ranked University of New England on Saturday night. Brassard scored two power play goals late in the first period to allow NU to take a commanding 3-0 lead into the first intermission.

Goaltender of the Week
Tom Aubrun - Norwich University
(Senior, Goaltender - Chamonix, France)

player Aubrun started off the season with a brilliant 25-save shut out performance to shut down No. 9 ranked UNE in a 4-0 victory for Norwich. Aubrun helped Norwich kill off four power plays and even made a save on a breakaway against UNE's returning leading scorer in the third period to preserve the shutout. UNE ranked third in the country in scoring last season, averaging 4.57 goals per game.

Rookie of the Week
Nathan Pickett - Suffolk University
(Freshman, Goaltender - Auburn, Mass.)

player Pickett backstopped Suffolk to a 3-2, season-opening win at Franklin Pierce with a 48-save effort in his collegiate debut.



Honor Roll

Nolan Redler - UMass Boston
(Senior, Forward - Winchester, Mass.)

Redler tied for the team lead with two goals and two assists to help #12 UMass Boston to a 1-1 record on Opening Weekend. The senior recorded an assist on the Beacons' lone goal Friday night against Curry College. On Saturday, he potted two goals and added an assist in the Beacons' rout of Wentworth. With his two goals, he became the 12th player in program history to record 50 or more career goals as a Beacon (51).

Brandon Kasel - Skidmore College
(Senior, Goaltender - Ithaca, N.Y.)

Kasel stopped 24 of 25 shots, including 10 in the third period of a 2-1 opening night road win over Cortland.

Alec Robitaillie - Hobart College
(Junior, Forward - Manchester, N.H.)

Robitaille led the Statesmen with three points on a goal and two assists in a 1-0-1 weekend against Elmira. On Friday, he had a pair of assists in Hobart's 5-2 win over the Soaring Eagles, including on Dan Sliney's game-winning goal. The next night, Robitaille scored a short-handed goal in the third period to force overtime against the Soaring Eagles.
