MARSHFIELD, Mass. - The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) has released its annual Preseason Coaches' Poll for men's ice hockey. The poll is compiled based on rankings from the league's ten head coaches.
Reigning NEHC league champions and national runner-up, Norwich University was selected to finish in the top spot this season, receiving six first place votes and 95 total points. Hobart College, who also made a trip to last year's NCAA semifinals, were slated second, receiving two first place votes and 88 total points while University of Massachusetts Boston, yet another 2019 NCAA postseason team, rounded out the top three with 76 total points and one first-place nod.

Teams open the regular season nonconference schedule on the weekend of November 1 with nine of ten teams seeing action. League play begins the following Friday (November 8) with all ten members hitting the ice. All teams will square off against each other twice in the regular season in home-and-home bouts.
