Four NEHC Student-Athletes Recognized by NE Hockey Writers

BOSTON, Mass. - Four New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) student-athletes were honored by the New England Hockey Writers Association as Division III All Stars for their performance this season.

UMass Boston led the way with two honorees in Nick Albano (Beverly, Mass.) and Nolan Redler (Winchester, Mass.)

Tom Aubrun (Chamonix, France) of Norwich University and Babson College's Nick Rosa (Birmingham, Mich.) were also honored for their play this year.

All four honorees were also named to the NEHC First Team All-Conference following the conclusion of the regular season.

Redler was an NEHC Player of the Year honoree after leading the NEHC in regular season scoring, posting 23 points on nine goals and 14 assists. Albano lead all NEHC defenders in scoring with 17 points on four goals and 13 assists.

Rosa ranked second in the NEHC in scoring with 22 points on 10 goals and 12 assists. The sophomore forward has also potted four game-winning goals on the year, which tied for fourth most in the country.

Aubrun played lights out for the Cadets all season, especially during their run in the NCAA postseason to finish as national runner-up. He shared Player of the Year honors with Redler and was also named NEHC Goaltender of the Year. In over 840 minutes in the conference regular season the junior posted a 1.71 goals against average (1st in the NEHC) while also compiling a .928 save percentage (3rd in the NEHC). Aubrun's six shutouts on the season tied for third most in the country.

The All Stars will be recognized with the other New England Hockey Writers Association All Stars at an awards dinner on April 17 in Saugus, Mass.
