Three NEHC Athletes Named All-American

STEVENS POINT, Wisc. - Three student athletes from New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) member institutions were named 2018-19 CCM/AHCA Men's Division III All-Americans.

UMass Boston's Nolan Redler (Winchester, Mass.) and Nick Albano (Beverly, Mass.) were named to the East Second Team. Tom Aubrun (Chamonix, France) of Norwich University earned East Third Team honors.

Redler earns his first All-American honors after being selected as an All-Region pick as a sophomore. The Beacons junior forward led UMass Boston this season in goals (15), assists (19), points (34) and power-play goals (six). He paced the entire NEHC in points (34) and points per game (1.21) and also finished tied for first in power-play goals (six) and power-play points (14).

Albano becomes just the third player in program history to earn multiple AHCA All-American honors. He finished with six goals, 16 assists and 22 points in 27 contests. He tacked on three power-play goals and two game-winning tallies. Albano led all NEHC defenseman in points (22) and points per game (0.81) and finished third in power-play points (13). He recorded at least one point in 15 contests and posted multiple points four times.

Aubrun has posted a 19-3-3 record (third) with a 1.65 goals against average (seventh), .930 save percentage (17th) and six shutouts (third), which all rank in the in the top 20 in the country in every category. He was also named NEHC Co-Player of the Year and Goaltender of the Year at the conclusion of the regular season. His six shutouts are tied for the most in a single-season in NU program history.
