Men's Weekly Release



MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) men's weekly awards were announced for games through Sunday, February 10. Nolan Redler (Winchester, Mass.) of UMass Boston earned Player of the Week honors. Babson College's Bryan Botcher (Mequon, Wisc.) and Norwich University's Maxime Borduas (St. Cesaire, Que.) were honored as Goaltender and Rookie of the Week respectively.

Player of the Week
Nolan Redler - UMass Boston
(Junior, Forward - Winchester, Mass.)

player Redler put together the biggest game of his collegiate career in the winner-take-all season finale between UMass Boston and Babson College. He recorded a career-high four goals and six points in the Beacons' NEHC Regular-Season clinching win over the Beavers. The junior forward, who finished first in the NEHC in points in conference games, posted three power-play goals and completed his hat trick before the second period was even halfway through.

Goaltender of the Week
Bryan Botcher - Babson College
(Senior, Goaltender - Mequon, Wisc.)

player Botcher made a season-high 39 saves and posted his first shutout of the season in Babson's 3-0 win over No. 7/8 UMass Boston on Friday night. The senior netminder, who recorded his third career shutout in his final regular season start, lowered his goals against average to 2.06 in the win.

Rookie of the Week
Maxime Borduas - Norwich University
(Freshman, Forward - St. Cesaire, Que.)

player Borduas tallied two goals and two assists for a four-point week to lead Norwich to two more key NEHC victories and extend the team's unbeaten streak to 14 straight games. He scored the game-winning goal with 6:24 left in the 3rd period of a huge matchup with New England College to snap the Pilgrims' 16-game unbeaten streak. Borduas added a goal and two assists in a 6-2 win over Southern Maine on Saturday to clinch the No. 2 seed in the NEHC playoffs.



Honor Roll

Zach Sternbach - Hobart College
(Junior, Forward - Loudonville, N.Y.)

Sternbach factored into half of Hobart's 10 goals this weekend, accumulating a team-high five points (3g, 2a) as Hobart clinched the No. 4 seed in the NEHC tournament. On Friday he had two goals and one assist as Hobart defeated Johnson & Wales 5-2. The next day he had a goal and an assist in the 5-3 win over Suffolk.

Tyler Mathieu - University of Southern Maine
(Senior, Forward - Stillwater Lake, Nova Scotia)

Mathieu recorded the first hat trick of his collegiate career in USM's 8-4 win over Castleton that clinched a playoff spot for the Huskies.

Austin Rook - Skidmore College
(Freshman, Defense - Shrewsbury, Mass.)

Rook tallied four assists in a weekend league sweep. The freshman defender added two helpers in Friday's 6-1 win over Suffolk and assisted on both goals in Saturday's 2-1 win against Johnson & Wales.
