Men's Weekly Release



MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) men's weekly awards were announced for games through Sunday, November 4. Nolan Redler (Winchester, Mass.) of UMass Boston garnered Player of the Week honors. Norwich University's Tom Aubrun (Chamonix, France) and Castleton University's Asa Palker (Manchester, N.H.) earned Goaltender and Rookie of the Week accolades respectively.

Player of the Week
Nolan Redler – UMass Boston
(Sophomore, Forward – Winchester, Mass.)

player Redler paced the Beacons with three goals and an assist and recorded the game-winning goal in both of their New England Hockey Conference contests. The sophomore forward scored twice in Friday night's NEHC opening win over Southern Maine, before adding a goal and an assist against New England College. On the season, Redler is tied for the league lead in goals (5) and points (7) and leads the NEHC with two game-winning goals.

Goaltender of the Week
Tom Aubrun - Norwich University
(Junior, Goaltender – Chamonix, France)

player Aubrun had a superb weekend, backstopping the Cadets to two wins over Skidmore (2-1 OT) and Hobart (3-1). Aubrun made 45 saves on 47 shots for a .957 save percentage. Aubrun made 20 saves in an overtime win over Skidmore, he then followed up with a near perfect performance vs. Hobart, making 25 saves and allowing a goal with 29 seconds left as the Cadets upset the No. 5-ranked Statesmen and defending NEHC champions.

Rookie of the Week
Asa Palker – Castleton University
(Freshman, Forward – Manchester, N.H.)

player Palker had a team-high four points in the opening week of NEHC play for Castleton, netting three goals and adding an assist. The freshman forward scored twice and posted an assist in a 4-4 tie against Skidmore and also added a goal against nationally ranked Hobart.



Honor Roll

Matt Wiesner – Babson College
(Freshman, Forward– Newport Beach, Calif.)

Wiesner finished the weekend with three goals to help Babson to a win and a tie. The first-year forward scored the tying goal at 11:46 of the third period as the Beavers rallied for a 2-2 OT draw with New England College. On Saturday, Wiesner scored a pair of goals in a 6-4 victory over Southern Maine.

Bailey MacBurnie – UMass Boston
(Junior, Goaltender - Beverly, Mass.)

MacBurnie stopped 29 of 32 shots over the weekend to backstop UMass Boston to a 2-0 start in NEHC conference play. The junior made 13 saves on Friday night, before stopping 26 of 27 shots against New England College on Saturday. On the season, MacBurnie is 3-0 with a 1.00 goals against average and .948 save percentage.

Brandon Borges – Skidmore College
(Sophomore, Forward – Providence, R.I.)

Borges posted three points on the weekend with a goal and two assists in a 0-0-1 weekend for the Thoroughbreds. The sophomore posted an assist in Friday's overtime loss to nationally ranked Norwich and followed that with a goal and an assist in a 4-4 draw with Castleton.
