Men's Weekly Release



MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) men's weekly awards were announced for games through Sunday, November 25. The Norwich University duo of Brett Ouderkirk (Monkland, Ont.) and Tom Aubrun (Chamonix, France) earned Player and Goaltender of the Week honors respectively. Adam Withers (Kenora, Ont.) of University of Southern Maine was recognized as Rookie of the Week.

Player of the Week
Brett Ouderkirk – Norwich University
(Freshman, Forward – Monkland, Ont.)

player Ouderkirk had a breakout offensive weekend, tallying three goals and three assists for six points en route to earning PrimeLink Great Northern ShootOut Most Valuable Player honors. Ouderkirk scored his first two collegiate goals to help NU upset No. 2-ranked Adrian in Friday's semifinal. He also tallied an assist to have a part in all three goals Norwich scored. Ouderkirk scored a goal and then added two more assists in Saturday's 5-1 win over Middlebury.

Goaltender of the Week
Tom Aubrun – Norwich University
(Junior, Goaltender – Chamonix, France.)

player Aubrun made a season-high 26 saves to backstop Norwich to an upset win over No. 2-ranked Adrian in the PrimeLink Great Northern ShootOut semifinals on Friday. Norwich was outshot 28-19 in the game and 15-3 in the third period to hold on for the win.

Rookie of the Week
Adam Withers – University of Southern Maine
(Freshman, Forward - Kenora, Ont.)

player Withers notched three points on a goal and two assists in USM's only action of the week as the Huskies fell 7-4 to nationally ranked UNE. Withers opened the scoring three minutes into the game and also added a helper on the Huskies second goal of the contest. His second assist came in the third period on the power play.



Honor Roll

Matt Muzyka – Skidmore College
(Sophomore, Forward– Cheshire, Conn.)

Muzyka earned Skidmore All-Tournament Honors after scoring two goals in the 3-2 championship game loss to #6/9 Salve Regina. He also added an assist in the 5-2 first round win over Post.

Connor Bechtal – Johnson & Wales University
(Junior, Forward – Doylestown, Pa.)

Bechtal scored in each of JWU's wins this week. The junior forward scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Division II opponent Assumption. He also had a goal and an assist in a 4-3 win over Western New England University on Sunday.

Nolan Redler – UMass Boston
(Junior, Forward – Winchester, Mass.)

Redler scored three of the Beacons' four goals in a 1-1 weekend at the Manchester P.A.L./Stovepipe Classic. The junior forward scored the Beacons' lone goal against host Southern New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon. He tacked on the go-ahead goal and a key late insurance goal in Saturday's win over UMass Dartmouth.
