Men's Weekly Release



MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) men's weekly awards were announced for games through Sunday, November 18. Tanner Shaw (Toronto, Ont.) and Liam Lascelle (Cornwall, Ont.) of Hobart College were recognized as Player and Rookie of the Week respectively for their play over the weekend. Babson College's Bryan Botcher (Mequon, Wisc.) was named Goaltender of the Week.

Player of the Week
Tanner Shaw - Hobart College
(Senior, Defender – Toronto, Ont.)

player Shaw had four points in a 2-0-0 weekend for the Statesmen. On Friday against Southern Maine, he had a goal and an assist en route to a 6-1 victory. In Hobart's 3-1 win over New England College on Saturday, he had two goals in the third period. His first goal of the game, 2:52 into the period, held as the eventual game-winner.

Goaltender of the Week
Bryan Botcher – Babson College
(Senior, Goaltender – Mequon, Wisc.)

player Botcher made a season-high 33 saves in his only start of the weekend as Babson edged Suffolk, 2-1, on Friday night. The senior netminder made 13 third-period stops, upping his season save percentage to .954 and lowering his goal against average to 1.30 in three starts this season.

Rookie of the Week
Liam Lascelle – Hobart College
(Freshman, Goaltender– Cornwall, Ont.)

player Lascelle made 37 saves in the Statesmen's 3-1 win over New England College on Saturday. After allowing a goal early in the second period, Lascelle shut the door, stopping the final 22 shots he faced. He is 2-0-0 this season with a 1.50 GAA and a .955 save percentage.



Honor Roll

Matt Muzyka – Skidmore College
(Sophomore, Forward– Cheshire, Conn.)

Muzyka recorded four points on the weekend as Skidmore went 2-0-0 in NEHC play. He notched two goals and an assist (all coming in the first period) as the Thoroughbreds skated to a 5-2 win over NEC. He followed that with an assist against Southern Maine in Saturday's 4-1 win.

Nick Rosa - Babson College
(Sophomore, Forward– Birmingham, Mich.)

Rosa produced a goal and two assists for three points in Babson's weekend road sweep. The sophomore forward had an assist in Friday's 2-1 win over Suffolk and then scored the go-ahead goal and tacked on a third-period assist in the Beavers' 5-1 victory over Johnson & Wales on Saturday.
