Men's Weekly Release



MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) men's weekly awards were announced for games through Sunday, November 11. The duo of Nick Rosa (Birmingham, Mich.) and Mike Egan (Billerica, Mass.) of Babson College garnered Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors respectively. UMass Boston's Bailey MacBurnie (Beverly, Mass.) earned Goaltender of the Week accolades for his play over the weekend.

Player of the Week
Nick Rosa – Babson College
(Sophomore, Forward – Birmingham, Mich.)

player Rosa scored three goals, which included a pair of game winners, as Babson stayed unbeaten with wins against Castleton and No. 8/10 Norwich over the weekend. The junior forward scored twice in Friday's 2-1 victory over the Spartans and notched the go-ahead goal 7:05 into the third period as the Beavers used four unanswered tallies to rally for a 5-3 triumph over the Cadets on Saturday.

Goaltender of the Week
Bailey MacBurnie – UMass Boston
(Junior, Goaltender – Beverly, Mass.)

player MacBurnie made 49 saves on 52 shots to lead #14/17 UMass Boston to a conference weekend sweep. The junior netminder led UMass Boston to a huge win over #8/10 Norwich University on Friday night, as he made a season-high 29 saves on 31 shots in a matchup of two ranked NEHC programs. He added 20 saves on 21 shots in Saturday's win over Castleton to help UMass Boston improve to 4-0 in conference play.

Rookie of the Week
Mike Egan – Babson College
(Freshman, Forward – Billerica, Mass.)

player Egan chipped in with three assists in Babson's wins over Castleton and No. 8/10 Norwich. He was involved in both goals in Friday's 2-1 victory against the Spartans and then helped set up the go-ahead goal as the Beavers rallied from a two-goal deficit to edge the Cadets, 5-3.



Honor Roll

Cody Braga – University of Southern Maine
(Junior, Forward– Middleboro, Mass.)

Braga helped the Huskies earn three out of a possible four points by netting two goals and adding an assist. Braga had a goal and an assist in USM's 2-2 tie with Johnson and Wales, then had a power-play marker in a 2-0 win over Suffolk.

Paul Leger – University of Southern Maine
(Junior, Goaltender – Blainville, Que.)

Leger earned his second career shutout, and first since his rookie year, stopping 20 shots in a 2-0 win over Suffolk. ss to nationally ranked Norwich and followed that with a goal and an assist in a 4-4 draw with Castleton.
