Men's Weekly Release



MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) men's weekly awards were announced for games through Sunday, October 28. Jonas Toupal (Vcelna, Czech Republic) of Hobart College earned Player of the Week honors for his performance over the weekend. Suffolk University's Michael Levine (Clarendon Hills, Ill.) and Babson College's Mike Egan (Billerica, Mass.) were recognized as Goaltender and Rookie of the Week respectively.

Player of the Week
Jonas Toupal - Hobart College
(Senior, Forward – Vcelna, Czech Republic)

player Toupal had a team-high five points (4g, 1a) in a 2-0-0 week for the Statesmen against Elmira College, scoring a pair of goals in both games. On Friday he scored the first and the third goal of the game as Hobart jumped out to a 3-0 lead over the Soaring Eagles as the Statesmen won 6-4. On Saturday, he scored a pair of second period goals as the Statesmen cruised to a 6-2 victory.

Goaltender of the Week
Michael Levine – Suffolk University
(Senior, Goaltender – Clarendon Hills, Ill.)

player Levine backstopped the Rams with 25 saves to earn the shutout victory for their first win of the season on Friday evening over Franklin Pierce University.

Rookie of the Week
Mike Egan - Babson College
(Freshman, Forward – Billerica, Mass.)

player Egan picked up a first-period assist and then scored the go-ahead goal on the power play early in the third period to record a multi-point game in his collegiate debut as Babson defeated Saint Anselm, 4-2, on Saturday.



Honor Roll

Nick Rosa – Babson College
(Sophomore, Forward– Birmingham, Mich.)

Rosa opened the season with two goals and one assist to match his career high with three points in Babson's 4-2 win at Saint Anselm. He scored on the power play late in the first period and tacked on an empty net goal in the third for the Beavers.

Jack Kelly – Suffolk University
(Sophomore, Forward– Arlington, Mass.)

Kelly notched three goals and two assists to open the 2018-19 season. The sophomore forward scored two goals and added an assist in the Rams' 7-0 win over Franklin Pierce University on Friday evening. He followed that with another goal and an assist in Saturday's 4-2 loss to Assumption.

Bailey MacBurnie – UMass Boston
(Junior, Goaltender – Beverly, Mass.)

MacBurnie made 16 saves in a season-opening shutout win over Wentworth. He stopped at least four shots in every period in his first collegiate Opening Day start. The shutout marked the third of MacBurnie's collegiate career.
