Men's Weekly Release



MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) men's weekly awards were announced for games through Sunday, February 4. Babson College's Bobby Hall (Westwood, Mass.) earned Player of the Week accolades. Brian Kowalski (Amherst, N.Y.) of Skidmore College and Dom Kuziak (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) of Castleton University were named Goaltender and Rookie of the Week respectively.

Player of the Week
Bobby Hall – Babson College
(Senior, Forward – Westwood, Mass.)

player Hall produced two goals and two assists for four points as Babson extended its road-unbeaten streak to four games over the weekend. The senior forward put together back-to-back multi-point games, which included scoring the game-tying goal in the third period of Friday's 3-3 OT tie at Hobart, as well as a goal and an assist in Saturday's 3-2 OT win at Skidmore.

Goaltender of the Week
Brian Kowalski – Skidmore College
(Freshman, Goaltender – Amherst, N.Y.)

player In a last minute start (his second of the season), Kowalski led Skidmore to a 3-2 overtime win against nationally-ranked UMass Boston. He had 41 saves, including 19 in the second period and 32 over the first two periods.

Rookie of the Week
Dom Kuziak – Castleton University
(Freshman, Forward – Burnt Hills, N.Y.)

player Kuziak posted a career-high three points to help lead the Spartans to an impressive win over Southern Maine on Saturday. The freshman gave the Spartans an early lead with his first career goal in the first period. He later added assists on Castleton's third and fifth goals to help the Spartans pull away down the stretch.



Honor Roll

Caleb Fizer – Castleton University
(Junior, Forward– Sarasota, Fla.)

Fizer is coming off a career weekend after tallying five points on two goals and three assists. He picked up a helper on the Spartans' first goal in a tough defeat at NEC on Friday, before notching a career-high four points on a pair of goals and assists in a strong 5-1 win over Southern Maine on Saturday. The junior dished out two primary assists on the first two goals and continued his offensive presence with two unanswered goals, one on the power play and another shorthanded, as he was involved in four of the Spartans' five goals in the win.
