Men's Weekly Release



MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) men's weekly awards were announced for games through Sunday, January 29. William Pelletier (St. Jean Chrysostome, Que.) of Norwich University was selected as Player of the Week while teammate Ty Reichenbach (Billings, Mont.) earned Goaltender of the Week recognition. Carlos Fornaris (Miami, Fla.) of New England College earned Rookie of the Week honors.

Player of the Week
William Pelletier – Norwich University
(Senior, Forward – St. Jean Chrysostome, Que.)

player Pelletier had a five-point weekend with a goal and four assists to lead Norwich to a four-point sweep and help the Cadets wrap up their 18th league regular season title in the last 19 years. Pelletier tallied a goal and three assists, including the primary assist on the game-tying and eventual game-winning goals in a 7-5 come-from-behind win over Skidmore on Saturday for the Cadets first win vs. the Thoroughbreds in four tries. Pelletier also had an assist in Friday's 3-0 win over Castleton.

Goaltender of the Week
Ty Reichenbach - Norwich University
(Senior, Goaltender – Billings, Mont.)

player Reichenbach shined on senior weekend, making 36 of 37 stops and picking up both victories. Reichenbach stopped all 22 shots he faced to earn a 3-0 shutout victory over Castleton on Friday. He then came on in relief halfway through Saturday's game to only allow one goal on 15 shots to backstop the Cadets to a 7-5 win over Skidmore. He is now 8-1-2 on the season.

Rookie of the Week
Carlos Fornaris – New England College
(Freshman, Forward – Miami, Fla.)

player Fornaris needed just 20 seconds to score the first goal of the game in NEC's 6-2 win over Saint Anselm. Seven-and-a-half minutes later, he slipped a pass between two defenders to set up teammate Chris Santello for the team's second goal. Fornaris finished with a goal and two assists and was +3 in the victory.



Honor Roll

Anthony Bird – Skidmore College
(Senior, Forward– Central Square, N.Y.)

In Friday's win over Saint Michael's Bird tallied the second goal of the contest. He followed that with a goal and two assists in Saturday's 7-5 loss to nationally-ranked Norwich.

Matt McMorrow – Babson College
(Junior, Forward – Pearl River, N.Y.)

McMorrow finished with a goal and two assists in a pair of Babson road wins. The junior forward assisted on the opening tally of the game in Friday's 7-0 win at Daniel Webster, and assisted on the tying goal and notched the game winner midway through the second period in Saturday's 2-1 victory at Southern Maine.

Chris Santello – New England College
(Senior, Forward – Fairfield, Conn.)

Santello finished with a goal and two assists in NEC's 6-2 win over Saint Anselm on Saturday. His line was responsible for half of the team's goals. He assisted on the first goal of the game, scored the second goal, and assisted again on the fifth goal.
