Men's Weekly Release



MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) men's weekly awards were announced for games through Sunday, January 15. Saint Michael's College's Sam D'Antuono (Hingham, Mass.) was recognized as the league Player of the Week. Brett Kilar (Coto de Caza, Calif.) of New England College and Otis Goldman (Vancouver, B.C.) of Castleton University earned Goaltender and Rookie of the Week honors respectively.

Player of the Week
Sam D'Antuono – Saint Michael's College
(Sophomore, Forward – Hingham, Mass.)

player D'Antuono recorded two goals and two assists during a 2-0-1 week. In a 2-2 tie at Tufts on Tuesday, he scored 15 seconds into the second period - tying the game 40 seconds after Tufts took the lead. In a 3-2 win over Southern Maine on Friday, D'Antuono scored 1:12 into overtime to secure victory for the Purple Knights before totaling two assists during a 4-2 win at Daniel Webster on Saturday.

Goaltender of the Week
Brett Kilar – New England College
(Senior, Goaltender – Coto de Caza, Calif.)

player Kilar allowed just five goals (1.66 goals against) and notched 96 saves (.950 save percentage) in a 2-1 week for the Pilgrims. He recorded his third shutout of the season in a 30-save nonconference victory vs. Salem State. He added a 38-save performance in the team's 4-3 overtime win against Skidmore in which he posted 18 saves in the third period alone. The senior netminder also posted 28 saves to keep the Pilgrims in striking distance during their 2-1 loss to Castleton.

Rookie of the Week
Otis Golman – Castleton University
(Freshman, Forward– Vancouver, B.C.)

player Goldman came through in the clutch once again for Castleton this week, scoring the game-winning goal in a thrilling overtime win on the road. With just 30.8 seconds left in overtime at Saint Anselm, Goldman buried a rebound to give Castleton its fourth straight victory and first overtime win of the season. It was his fifth goal of the season, and his third game-winning goal, the second most in the conference.



Honor Roll

William Pelletier – Norwich University
(Senior, Forward– St. Jean Chrysostome, Quebec)

Pelletier became the 48th player in NU men's hockey history to reach the 100-career point milestone on Friday in a 9-1 win over Daniel Webster. He scored a goal and dished out four assists for five points in the DWC victory. In total, Pelletier scored two goals and added five assists for seven points to lead the Cadets to a 2-0-1 week.

Jordan Hall – University of Southern Maine
(Freshman, Forward – Anchorage, Alaska)

Hall scored both USM goals in a pair of tough-luck, 2-1 losses over the weekend. Hall's goal against St. Michael's tied the game in the second period of an eventual overtime loss, and his goal against #2 ranked Norwich gave the Huskies a 1-0 lead in a 2-1 loss.

Chris Johnson – Saint Michael's College
(Sophomore, Goaltender – Duxbury, Mass.)

Johnson recorded a 1.43 GAA and a .964 save percentage while going 1-0-1 and averaging 40.0 saves during the week. In a 2-2 tie with Tufts on Tuesday, he had 39 saves, including five in overtime, before recording 41 stops during a 3-2 overtime victory over Southern Maine on Friday. Seventeen of his saves came during the third period alone. Johnson helped the Purple Knights hold opponents scoreless on six power-play chances in the two contests.
