Men's Weekly Release



MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) men's weekly awards were announced for games through Sunday, November 6. Norwich University's Nick Pichette (Massena, N.Y.) was named Player of the Week. The duo of Jack McDonald (King City, Ont.) and Brandon Kasel (Ithaca, N.Y.) of Skidmore College were named Goaltender and Co-Rookie of the Week respectively. University of Massachusetts Boston's Jordan Bustard (Flanders, N.J.) earned Co-Rookie of the Week honors for his performance over the weekend.

Player of the Week
Nick Pichette – Norwich University
(Senior, Forward – Massena, N.Y.)

player Pichette had a career-night, tallying his first career hat trick as part of a four-point night to lead the Cadets to a 9-1 win over Daniel Webster. He also tallied an assist in a 4-2 win over Southern Maine to clinch four points on the weekend. He scored the game-winning goal in Saturday's win over Daniel Webster. Pichette leads the Cadets with six points on the year.

Goaltender of the Week
Jack McDonald – Skidmore College
(Senior, Goaltender – King City, Ont.)

player McDonald had 33 saves in a 4-1 win over New England College, with 13 coming in the third period alone. He helped the Thoroughbreds kill all 11 NEC power plays.

Co-Rookies of the Week
Jordan Bustard – University of Massachusetts Boston
(Freshman, Goaltender– Flanders, N.J.)

player Bustard posted his first collegiate shutout with 17 saves in #3 UMass Boston men's hockey's 6-0 shutout win over UMass Dartmouth. The freshman goalie stopped eight shots in the first period and held the Corsairs to an 0-for-4 showing on the power-play

Brandon Kasel – Skidmore College
(Freshman, Goaltender– Ithaca, N.Y.)

player Kasel was perfect in his collegiate debut, stopping all 28 shots he faced for his first career win and first career shutout in a 4-0 win over St. Anselm. The first-year goaltender made a key early breakaway save to preserve a 1-0 Skidmore lead.



Honor Roll

Bill Seligman – Babson College
(Senior, Forward – Toronto, Ont.)

The senior forward had a goal and two assists for three points as Babson rallied to defeat Plymouth State, 4-3, on Saturday. Seligman had a goal and an assist in the first period and then tacked on a third-period assist for the Beavers.

Josh Dickman – Saint Michael's College
(Senior, Forward – Kapaa, Hawaii)

Dickman totaled two goals and added an assist during a 1-1 weekend for the Purple Knights. In a 3-2 win over Daniel Webster on Friday, he scored the go-ahead power-play tally in the second period before assisting the power-play winner. During a 4-1 loss to Southern Maine on Saturday, he scored on the power play to trim the deficit to 3-1.

Anthony Bird – Skidmore College
(Senior, Forward– Central Square, N.Y.)

Bird scored two goals and had an assist in a 4-1 win over New England College.

Brett Kilar – New England College
(Senior, Goaltender– Coto de Caza, Calif.)

Kilar started all three games in net in a 2-1 week for the Pilgrims. He totaled 91 saves, including a week-best 33 saves at Castleton, and finished with a .958 save percentage. Kilar had his first shutout of the season in the team's 1-0 win against Castleton.
