Men's Weekly Release



MARSHFIELD, Mass. The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) men's weekly awards were announced for games through Sunday, January 3. Frankie DeAugustine (Pittsburgh, Pa.) of University of Massachusetts Boston and William Pelletier (St. Jean Chrysotome, Que.) of Norwich University were named Co-Players of the Week. Pelletier's teammate, Braeden Ostepchuk (Lethbridge, Alta.) was named the league's Goaltender of the Week and University of New England's Dylan Bengston (Coral Spings, Fla.) was named Rookie of the Week.

Co-Players of the Week
Frankie DeAugustine University of Massachusetts Boston
(Senior, Forward Pittsburgh, Pa.)

player DeAugustine recorded four goals and three assists during the two-day Codfish Bowl Tournament. The senior scored two goals in both games and added the game-winner and three assists on Sunday, to lead UMass Boston to a 1-1 week. He had his hand in seven of the Beacons' eight goals on the weekend.

William Pelletier Norwich University
(Junior, Forward St. Jean Chrysotome, Que.)

player Pelletier had a remarkable return to the lineup, scoring three goals and notching six assists for nine points in two games in his first game action since the season opener. Pelletier scored two goals and racked up four assists in an 8-0 win over Wesleyan University on Saturday night. He then added a goal and two more assists for three points in Sunday's 5-4 overtime loss to defending national champion Trinity College. Pelletier was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, which made it three straight Northfield Savings Bank Holiday Tournament MVP awards for him.

Goaltender of the Week
Braeden Ostepchuk Norwich University
(Sophomore, Goaltender Lethbridge, Alta.)

player Ostepchuk stopped all 16 shots he faced to record his third shutout of the season in a win over Wesleyan on Saturday night to lift Norwich to an appearance in the Northfield Savings Bank Holiday Tournament championship. The sophomore netminder also added an assist on the Cadets' seventh goal of the contest. He was named to the All-Tournament team for his efforts and now sports a .930 save percentage and a 1.45 goals against average to go along with a 6-2-0 record.

Rookie of the Week
Dylan Bengston University of New England
(Freshman, Forward Coral Springs, Fla.)

player Bengston scored what proved to be the game-winning goal and also added two assists in the Nor'easters' 5-3 win over Franklin Pierce University on Saturday.



Honor Roll

Mike Vollmin Babson College
(Senior, Defense Wilmington, N.C.)

Vollmin contributed three assists in a pair of games over the weekend. The senior defenseman recorded two assists in Saturday's 4-2 victory over nationally-ranked Amherst College and chipped in with another in Sunday's 3-2 loss to Endicott College.

Garrett Gallagher University of Massachusetts Boston
(Freshman, Defense Aston, Pa.)
Gallagher enjoyed the best weekend of his young career, with two assists and eight blocked shots in two games. The freshman paced the Beacons with six blocked shots on Saturday, before recording his first two collegiate assists and two more blocked shots in a 6-2 win over Johnson & Wales University.
