Men's Weekly Release



MARSHFIELD, Mass. MARSHFIELD, Mass. The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) men's weekly awards were announced for games through Sunday, January 17. The duo of Trevor Fleurent (Biddeford, Maine) and Mason Riley (Turnersville, N.J.) from the University of New England headlined this week's selections being named Player and Goaltender of the Week respectively. Skidmore College's Quentin Campbell (Newmarket, Ont.) rounded out this week's honorees capturing Rookie of the Week accoldaes.

Player of the Week
Trevor Fleurent University of New England
(Junior, Forward Biddeford, Maine)

player Fleurent assisted on both second period goals to help UNE rally from its second two-goal deficit of the game at Norwich University on Friday. The junior forward then scored the game-winner with 44 seconds left in overtime to give the Nor'easters their first-ever victory against the nationally-ranked Cadets in 15 meetings.

Goaltender of the Week
Mason Riley University of New England
(Senior, Goaltender Turnersville, N.J.)

player Riley made 29 and 34 saves, respectively in road victories over nationally-ranked Norwich (4-3 OT) and Saint Michael's College (4-1), helping UNE run its unbeaten streak to 10 games (9-0-1). All three conceded goals against the Cadets came on the power play.

Rookie of the Week
Quentin Campbell Skidmore College
(Freshman, Forward Newmarket, Ont.)

player Campbell posted 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) in a 1-0-1 week for the Thoroughbreds. The freshman notched his first two collegiate goals and added an assist (all coming in the third period) in a 4-1 victory over Saint Anselm College. He also added an assist in a 6-6 tie with New England College.



Honor Roll

Anthony Bird Skidmore College
(Junior, Forward Central Square, N.Y.)
Bird scored two goals and had three assists in a dramatic 6-6 tie with New England College on Saturday night. His second goal came in the final second of regulation to force overtime. Skidmore was down two-goals three times in the game and battled back to tie the game.

Derek Gingera Castleton University
(Senior, Forward Winnipeg, Man.)
Gingera led the Spartan attack this weekend with three goals to help the squad extend its winning streak to three with victories over New England College and Saint Anselm. On Friday against the Pilgrims, the senior opened the scoring with a short-handed strike before netting the game-winning goal with 2:10 left in regulation to secure a 3-2 victory. He followed that up by scoring the opening goal of the game in Castleton's 2-1 win over the Hawks on Saturday.

Ryan Mulder Castleton University
(Sophomore, Goaltender Ottawa, Ont.)
Mulder tallied 46 saves in two starts this weekend to help the Spartans capture a pair of victories over New England College and Saint Anselm. The sophomore was in fine form against the Pilgrims on Friday, stopping 20 of the 22 shots that he faced as the squad captured a 3-2 victory. He was even better on Saturday in Castleton's victory over the Hawks, posting 26 saves while allowing only one goal.

Billy Faust University of Massachusetts Boston
(Senior, Goaltender Alta Loma, Calif.)

Faust stopped 72 of 76 shots in a weekend split against rival Babson College. On Friday night, the senior stopped a season-high 37 shots in a 3-2 loss, before adding 35 saves on 36 shots in a 4-1 win on Saturday. Faust ranks second in the NEHC in conference winning % (.833) and third in save percentage in conference play (.926).
