MARSHFIELD, Mass. Tyler Bishop (Ramsey, N.J.) of University of Massachusetts Boston was named to the Team of the Week for his play from January 4 through January 10. Bishop led the Beacons to a 2-0 record over that span and was named the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Co-Player of the Week on Monday.

Bishop helped UMass Boston stay undefeated in NEHC play with a huge offensive day in the Beacons' 6-5 overtime win over New England College. The junior defenseman recorded his first collegiate hat trick, including scoring the game-winning goal, and added an assist in the 6-5 win. On Friday night, he finished +2 +/- with two shots in a 6-4 win over St. Anselm College.

The Team of the Week recognizes the top performances across the nation in Division III men's hockey. Institutional and conference sports information directors submit nominations for recognition. A selection committee then reviews the nominations and selects an elite group of three forwards, two defenders and one goaltender for recognition.
