MARSHFIELD, Mass. – Rob Devaney (Reading, Mass.) of Babson College was named to the D3Hockey.com Team of the Week for his play from November 30 through December 6. Devaney led the Beavers to key conference victories over #5/#7 Norwich University and Saint Michael's College. The sophomore forward was also recognized as the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Player of the Week on Monday.
Devaney finished with three goals and one assist for four points in the Beavers' wins over Saint Michael's and Norwich. He scored the first goal and then had an assist on the game winner in Friday's 5-1 victory over the Purple Knights. On Saturday, Devaney notched the game-winning goal and scored twice as part of a four-goal first period en route to a 5-1 win over the Cadets.
The D3Hockey.com Team of the Week recognizes the top performances across the nation in Division III men's hockey. Institutional and conference sports information directors submit nominations for recognition. A selection committee then reviews the nominations and selects an elite group of three forwards, two defenders and one goaltender for recognition.
