Men's Weekly Release



MARSHFIELD, Mass. The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) men's weekly awards were announced for games through December 6. Babson College sophomore forward Rob Devaney (Reading, Mass.) was named Player of the Week while his teammate Jamie Murray (Scituate, Mass.) was named Goaltender of the Week. Garrison Sanipass of University of Massachusetts Boston was recognized as the league's Rookie of the Week.

Players of the Week
Rob Devaney Babson College
(Sophomore, Forward Reading, Mass.)

player Devaney finished with three goals and one assist for four points in the Beavers' wins over Saint Michael's and Norwich. He scored the first goal and then had an assist on the game winner in Friday's 5-1 victory over the Purple Knights. On Saturday, Devaney notched the game-winning goal and scored twice as part of a four-goal first period en route to a 5-1 win over the Cadets.

Goaltender of the Week
Jamie Murray - Babson College
(Senior, Goaltender Scituate, Mass.)

player Murray stopped 53-of-55 shots and posted a 1.00 goals against average and a .964 save percentage in back-to-back victories over the weekend. He made 25 saves and allowed just a third-period power play goal in Friday's 5-1 win over Saint Michael's, and then stopped 28 shots in Saturday's 5-1 victory over Norwich.

Rookie of the Week
Garrison Sanipass University of Massachusetts Boston
(Freshman, Forward Northbrook, Ill.)

player Sanipass posted a team-high three points (two goals, one assist) to lead #9/11 UMass Boston to a huge weekend sweep in NEHC play. The freshman forward scored the game-winning goal Friday night against #5/7 Norwich with 49 seconds left in overtime and added an assist, to lead the Beacons to their third-straight home win over the Cadets. He recorded a goal Saturday against Saint Michael's to move into a tie for first-place on the team with his six goals.



Honor Roll

Nick Leonard Saint Anselm College
(Junior, Forward Methuen, Mass.)
Nick Leonard helped lead the Hawks to a 1-0-1 mark this past weekend. Leonard scored a goal and added an assist in a 2-2 draw with the University of New England. He followed that up with the eventual game-winning goal in a 3-2 win over Southern Maine on Saturday.

Marc Cibelli Skidmore College
(Junior, Forward Liverpool, N.Y.)
Cibelli scored a total of three goals in a pair of games at #12 Hobart College. The junior forward had a goal in a 2-1 loss on Friday and two goals in a 4-3 loss on Saturday.

Chris Johnson Saint Michael's College
(Freshman, Goaltender Duxbury, Mass.)
Freshman Chris Johnson posted a .924 save percentage and 3.00 GAA during a 1-2 week, averaging 36.7 saves. Johnson had 22 stops in a 3-1 victory over Franklin Pierce on Tuesday, yielding only a breakaway tally, before making 31 saves during a 5-1 loss to No. 4 Babson on Friday. Johnson kept it 1-0 until the Beavers scored two power-play goals in the final 4:08 of the second period. He responded with 57 saves in a 3-0 loss at No. 9 UMass Boston on Saturday, with only two goals coming at even strength.

Zach Andrews University of Massachusetts Boston
(Senior, Goaltender Coral Springs, Fla.)
Andrews tied UMass Boston's program-record for career shutouts Saturday, by making 21 saves in the Beacons' 3-0 win over Saint Michael's College. The senior stopped at least six shots in each period, to record his third collegiate shutout.
