MARSHFIELD, Mass. – Trevor Fleurent (Biddeford, Me.) of University of New England was named to the D3Hockey.com Team of the Week for his play from November 23 through November 29. Fleurent was also recognized as the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Player of the Week on Monday.
Fleurent recorded points in all three Nor'easter wins to end the week with 4 goals and 3 assists. He posted 3 goals and 1 assist in an 8-3 victory over Bowdoin, UNE's first in the all-time series (10 games). The junior forward also gave UNE a 1-0 edge against Daniel Webster. He finished his week by assisting on what proved to be the game-winner against UMass Dartmouth.
The D3Hockey.com Team of the Week is a new initiative from d3hockey.com that recognizes the top performances across the nation in Division III men's hockey. Institutional and conference sports information directors submit nominations for recognition. A selection committee then reviews the nominations and selects an elite group of three forwards, two defenders and one goaltender for recognition.
